The Password Management Tool

NOTE: Your password must be over 24 hours old to change it. Also, the length of your password is one of the best and simplest protections against hackers.

Making good passwords is important, but it shouldn't be difficult. You have been told since forever now to make complex, hard to guess passwords. Now that computers are powerful, inexpensive, and everywhere, that simply isn't good enough anymore. "P4a55w0rdz!" is just as easy to crack as "passwords!" and "!sdrowssap", because they are all the same length.

The good news is that your longer passwords don't also have to be hard to remember. Check out this example of what you can do to make a much better password that you can also remember.

Before you continue, you need to understand that T-Mobile works hard to enforce good password policy. We use tools that monitor the internet (yes, all of it) for recent and past password breaches, new developments in hacking, and a whole host of other data to determine if your password is indeed unique, strong, and safe. Due to the nature of password security, if your password is rejected, you will not be told why - you'll just need to try a completely different password. You can no longer add a number, change the spelling of a single word, use 1337speak, use your name, etc. Exceptions cannot and will not be made.

If you try to generate a new password and it is rejected, you need to try a completely different password.

I get it - long, unique passwords
